Who is SGO?
The Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) is the premier medical specialty society for physicians trained in the comprehensive management of gynecologic cancers in women. Our purpose is to improve the care of women with gynecologic cancers by encouraging research and disseminating knowledge, raising the standards of practice in the prevention and treatment of gynecologic malignancies and collaborating with other organizations interested in women’s health care, oncology and related fields.
As medical professionals with a special interest and expertise in gynecologic cancers, we dedicate our work to helping women conquer the cancers unique to them. We uphold the highest standards of quality care, and through research, we are creating new and innovative ways to improve the treatment and care of patients. SGO members advocate and contribute to a comprehensive approach to screening, diagnosis and treatment; empowering women with the knowledge to provide answers, support and hope.
