Activities that are designated with CE credit ensures the multidisciplinary health care community and the public that such activities provide the healthcare oncology team with information that can assist them in maintaining or improving their practice of medicine. An important element of Joint Accreditation compliance is disclosing and resolving any potential conflicts of interest between a presenter and a corporate entity. Policies approved by the SGO Board of Directors state that all individuals participating in an accredited continuing education activity must disclose any financial relationships.
