Highlighting some of the endometrial cancer research presented at the SGO Annual Meeting, Brian Slomovitz, MD, from the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami discusses results in “Abstract 1: GOG 3007: A randomized phase II (RP2) trial of everolimus and letrozole (EL) or hormonal therapy (Medroxyprogesterone Acetate/Tamoxifen, PT) in women with advanced, persistent or recurrent endometrial carcinoma (EC): A GOG Foundation study,” which received the 2018 SGO Presidential Award. During Scientific Plenary IV, Alessandro Santin, MD, from the Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT; and Amanda Nickles Fader, MD, from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD, presented “Abstract 22: Randomized phase II trial of carboplatin-paclitaxel compared to carboplatin-paclitaxel-trastuzumab in advanced or recurrent uterine serous carcinomas that overexpress Her2/neu (NCT01367002).” (March 26, 2018)
