Gynecologic Cancer Education Course

The Foundation for Women’s Cancer is hosting a free Gynecologic Cancer Education Course on Friday, March 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the SGO Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. The session has been developed for gynecologic cancer survivors, family, friends and other supporters who are interested in learning more about the disease from the leading cancer experts in the United States. This course, sponsored by TESARO and Clovis Oncology, will be focused on ovarian cancer and pre-registration is recommended.

Ovarian Cancer Heroes Recognition Dinner

SGO President Laurel W. Rice, MD, will be among the honorees at Cure Magazine’s Ovarian Cancer Heroes Recognition Dinner, featuring actor and ovarian cancer advocate Patrick Dempsey as guest speaker. No charge for Annual Meeting attendees.

SGO Social Event: Mardi Gras Unmasked

Prepare to be amazed at New Orleans’ number one attraction! Mardi Gras World is a working studio for creating, restoring, and re-working the floats and props used each year during Mardi Gras. It is the most magical, colorful, not-to-be-missed experience! Get ready to dance to live music and get lost in the maze of parade floats and larger than life props – don’t forget to bring your camera! Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and a ticketed/cash bar will be open all night long. This event is free to all meeting attendees but RSVPs are encouraged and appreciated. Transportation will be provided through the duration of the event. First bus departs the Hyatt Regency New Orleans at 7:15 p.m.
