Membership applicants employed by the pharmaceutical or device industry should have a clinical, research or administrative background in the subspecialty of gynecologic oncology.

After Your Application is Submitted

  • Applications are reviewed by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors. Members shall be elected by a majority vote of the SGO Board of Directors.
  • Applicants will be notified of their election status within 4-6 weeks of the completion of their application.

DUES

  • New member dues received January 1 – June 30 are applied to the current year.
  • Dues received July 1 – December 31 are applied to the following year though membership becomes active upon approval. Access to the SGO journal (online and/or print) will begin on Jan. 1.

  • We encourage you to read our membership bylaws.
  • Our bylaws are an integral component to how we operate as an organization and also in our practices.

Full Membership

For INDIVIDUALS fully licensed to practice medicine in their country of residence or non-physicians with doctoral (PhD or equivalent)

Membership Includes:

Annual Dues

Full membership dues are based on World Bank Classification (PDF)

Tier 1: U.S. and non-U.S. high-income countries $665 (50% off 1st year’s dues and $75 application fee)

Tier 2: Upper-middle income countries $210*

Tier 3: Lower-middle income countries $175*

Tier 4: Low income countries $50*

*There are no application fee for these tiers.

Membership includes:

  • $199 (+$25 application fee) for U.S. advanced practice providers, registered nurses and non-MD health professionals
  • $35 (no application fee) for non-U.S. advanced practice providers or non-MD health professionals, and patient advocates

Trainee Membership

Fellows-in-training, residents, students

Membership includes:

Annual Dues

  • Fellow-in-Training Member Annual Dues: $136
  • Fellow Membership for non-US applicants – $50 USD (must reside outside the US)
  • Resident/Student Member Annual Dues: $25 (US and international)

Institutional Membership

RESIDENCY AND FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS

This membership option allows institutional programs (for example, an OB/Gyn residency or a Gyn Pathology fellowship) to purchase an annual membership to SGO for all current trainees.

Membership Includes:

  • Discounted member rates for upcoming SGO meetings, including the SGO Winter Meeting and SGO Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer.

Annual Dues

Pricing is tiered by residency versus fellowship and the number of trainees in each program. Each individual training program has a separate membership, and there is an additional $100 application fee.

For residencies:

  • ≤20 individuals with access to the program’s membership: $300
  • >20 individuals with access to the institutional membership: $500

For fellowships:

  • For programs with <4 fellows: $375
  • For programs with 5-8 fellows: $750
  • For programs with >9 fellows: $1000

International Applicants: Discounts are available for international members based on World Bank classification.

Senior Membership

Full and Associate Members who have been members of SGO for the past five consecutive years may request complimentary Senior Member status upon retirement from the health care field.

Until senior status is approved, members are responsible for the corresponding annual dues and requirements reflective of their Full and Associate Member status.
