Gynecologic Oncology has published the abstract supplement for the 2018 SGO Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer. The supplement contains the abstracts selected for presentation at the 49th Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer, held March 24-27, 2018 in New Orleans, LA. The Program Committee selected 38 abstracts for Scientific Plenary abstracts, 14 Focused Plenary abstracts, 5 in Education Forums, 2 Sunrise Seminar presentations, 28 Featured Posters, and 439 Posters. The supplement also includes 16 international submissions and 4 late-breaking abstracts that were presented at the meeting.

Our sister, open-access journal, Gynecologic Oncology Reports, publishes interesting case reports, case series, survey results and other article types which are all indexed in PubMed. Gynecologic Oncology Reports is excited to now be an SGO official publication. Members receive reduced publication fees, and we specifically invite fellows and other trainees to consider publishing their work in Gynecologic Oncology Reports. The call for abstracts and surgical films opens on July 18 for the 2019 Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer, which will be held March 16-19, 2019, in Honolulu, HI. This year, registration for the upcoming Annual Meeting is opening earlier than usual, with registration opening on July 25.
Applications are being accepted for the 2018-2019 Foundation for Women’s Cancer Research Grants and Awards program. Sixteen research grants and prizes totaling $747,500 will be awarded, including nine Research Grants, two Post-Doctoral Fellowship awards, two Fellow-in-Training award, and three Research Prizes. Research grant abstracts are due on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, and the winners will be announced at SGO’s 2019 Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer in Honolulu, HI.
This summer SGO’s Chicago office is undergoing renovations and staff workers are working in a temporary office space.
