SGO members who are transitioning their membership levels from Resident/Student to Fellow, Fellow to Candidate, or Candidate to Full should contact SGO Membership at (312) 235-4060 or membership@sgo.org to initiate the process. Dues received from July 1 to Dec. 31 are applied to the following year although membership becomes active upon approval.

Aug. 15 deadline for FWC Research Grants and Awards

Foundation for Women's CancerThe Foundation for Women’s Cancer is offering 20 research grants and prizes, totaling $660,000. The 2016-2017 Research Grants and Awards booklet describes the available grants, fellowships, prizes and the application process. All research grant abstracts and fellowship applications must be received (via email only) by Aug. 15.

2017 SGO Annual Meeting Call for Abstracts Now Open

2017-AM-Web-banner-18-1024x373Abstract and surgical film submissions, including submissions for the global session, are now open for the 2017 SGO Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer. The deadline for abstract/surgical film submissions is Monday, Sept. 19, at 11:59 p.m. CT and the deadline for global session submissions is Saturday, Dec. 31, at 11:59 p.m. CT. Please note that the meeting will start one day later than usual and will be held Sunday, March 12, through Wednesday, March 15, in National Harbor, MD, near Washington, D.C. Pre-conference sessions begin on Saturday, March 11.

Ovarian Cancer Survivors Course in Oklahoma City Aug. 27

The Foundation for Women’s Cancer is hosting an Ovarian Cancer Survivors Course on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Samis Family Education Center in the OU Children’s Hospital at 1200 Children’s Place, Oklahoma City, OK. The course co-directors are Kathleen Moore, MD, and Camille Gunderson, MD, from the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center.
