The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has compiled a list of ICD-10-CM codes to be used as a guide to help coding professionals to code for healthcare encounters with individuals affected by a hurricane. Z codes (other reasons for healthcare encounters) may be assigned to further explain the reasons for presenting for healthcare services, including transfers between healthcare facilities. On behalf of the Society, our thoughts are with all of our members and their patients impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
In recognition of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, SGO is rolling out a new format for SGO Issues—with a more responsive design for viewing on mobile devices and additional features for social media sharing. Individual articles can now be shared via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
