National Quality Forum
The National Quality Forum (NQF) reviews, endorses, and recommends use of standardized healthcare performance measures. Performance measures, also called quality measures, are essential tools used to evaluate how well healthcare services are being delivered.
National Surgical Quality Improvement Program
The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) is the first nationally validated, risk-adjusted, outcomes-based program to measure and improve the quality of surgical care across surgical specialties in the private sector.
Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement
A leader in health care quality improvement, the AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) is a national, physician-led program dedicated to enhancing quality and patient safety. The ongoing mission of the PCPI is to align patient-centered care, performance measurement and quality improvement.
Quality Oncology Practice Initiative
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) quality measurement and improvement tool was developed by world-renowned practicing oncologists and quality experts, using clinical guidelines and published standards, such as the National Initiative on Cancer Care Quality (NICCQ), ASCO/NCCN Quality Measures, and ASTRO/ASCO/AMA PCPI Oncology Measures.
Surgical Quality Alliance
The mission of the American College of Surgeons Surgical Quality Alliance (SQA) is to bring surgical specialties and anesthesiology together to define the principles of surgical patient quality measurement and develop awareness among interested parties about issues related to surgical care and quality in all surgical settings. Women’s Health Registry Alliance
The Women’s Health Registry Alliance (WHRA) will improve women’s health outcomes through collaboration in use and development of multiple registries and databases. In August 2012, the members of the Women’s Health Registry Alliance, in association with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists convened a multi-stakeholder conference with the goal of facilitating the national standardization of obstetric data definitions.
National Cancer Database
The National Cancer Database (NCDB), a joint program of the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and the American Cancer Society (ACS), is a nationwide oncology outcomes database for more than 1,500 Commission-accredited cancer programs in the United States and Puerto Rico.
