SGO holds its first Annual Meeting outside of the United States in 2020

For the first time in its 50 year history, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology is hosting the Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer outside of the United States. Mark your calendars for March 28-31, 2020, in Toronto, Canada. Recognized as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, Toronto is a hub for sports, culture, arts, fine dining and architecture, including the iconic CN Tower. Key Submission Deadlines

• Call for abstracts and surgical films: July 17 through Sept. 17, 2019
• International abstract session* submission period: July 17 through Nov. 5, 2019*
• Late-breaking submissions: Dec. 5, 2019 through Jan. 7, 2020

*SGO defines international abstracts as abstracts concerned with the care of women with gynecologic malignancies outside the United States and Canada.

Who Should Attend?

This gynecologic oncology conference is the premier educational and scientific event for women’s healthcare professionals, including members of the entire gynecologic cancer care team who provide treatment and care in the areas of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and palliative care. Attendees include gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, obstetrician/gynecologists, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, research scientists, fellows in training, residents, and social workers.

All attendees who reside outside of Canada need to apply for a passport (the process takes six to eight weeks in the United States) or verify that their current passports will be valid through the end of March 2020. Information on how to apply for a US passport is available at travel.state.gov.

The SGO Annual Meeting also brings together exhibitors from a variety of medical device and service companies. An array of state-of-the-art products and services geared towards members of the gynecologic cancer care team are on display in the exhibition area. There are numerous sponsorship opportunities as well for various events, services, and takeaway items at the SGO Annual Meeting.
