Call for Applications: Social Media Editor–Gynecologic Oncology & Gynecologic Oncology Reports
Are you passionate about gynecologic cancer research and practice, and active on social media? We invite you to apply for the role of Social Media Editor for the journals Gynecologic Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology Reports.
Role overview
You will collaborate with the Editorial Leadership Teams to shape and promote the journals’ social media presence, engaging with the research community and raising the journals’ profile. You will advise the Editorial Leadership Teams to maintain and further define the social media strategy of the journals. Some key activities will be: · Build and maintain strong X presence for the journals via the @GynOncJnls channel by highlighting selected content, promoting monthly podcast series, soliciting submissions on select topics and reposting content relevant to the journals’ audience.
- Create and strengthen social media presence across multiple social media platforms.
- Monitor social media performance and report performance to the editorial leadership team.
- Promote the journal and publications in relation to conferences and maintain social media engagement during meetings such as SGO Annual Meeting, IGCS, WAGO, and other events relevant to the Gynecologic Oncology community.

Qualifications
- A practicing gynecologic oncologist with at least 5 years of experience post-fellowship.
- Experience in social media (such as X, Instagram, Bluesky, LinkedIn, etc) with a track record of engagement through social media.
- Experience in writing for publication and a relevant publication record.
- A good understanding of the gynecologic oncology discipline and its policy and practice.
- Some understanding of editorial activity, including peer reviewing or editorial board experience.
