The SGO Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity welcomes the 2023-2024 cohort of program mentors.

 

Program Directors

Charlotte Gamble, MD, is a Clinical Instructor at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and staff physician at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Georgetown Cancer Prevention and Control Program and is on the steering group of the Endometrial Cancer Action Network for African Americans (ECANA). Her research examines the relationship between neighborhood vulnerability and endometrial cancer outcomes.
 
Margie Liotta, DO, is the Associate Professor and the Division Director in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at Loyola University Medical Center.  She is involved in teaching medical students and residents and is dedicated to cultivating diversity at all levels in this field.

 

Travis T. Sims, MD, is the Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a gynecologic oncologist Dr. Sims is committed to providing exemplary evidence-based patient care, advancing his specialty through research/clinical investigation, and educating the next generation of surgeons/oncologists.
