Carly Gustafson Léon, MS, RD

Carly Gustafson Léon is the Manager of Health Policy and Government Affairs at the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO). She staffs the Health Policy and Legislative Affairs, Coding and Reimbursement, and Quality Care Committees and serves as the primary liaison to SGO’s government relations consultants. Her work supports the Society’s federal advocacy, regulatory engagement, and policy development efforts.

Before joining SGO, Carly led payment and policy initiatives at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid coverage, value-based care models, federal rulemaking, and CPT/HCPCS coding. A Registered Dietitian, she brings more than 15 years of experience spanning clinical care, nonprofit strategy, and health policy.

Carly holds a master’s degree and a Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Harvard Online. She is based in Wisconsin, where she enjoys reading, historical cooking, and baking sourdough bread. She also spends time outdoors with her husband, three children, and their two Rottweilers, Gus and Céilí.
