Getting Our Fair SHARE: 2021 Conference to End Health Disparities Conference
SGO members are invited to attend Getting Our Fair SHARE: 2021 Conference to End Health Disparities on June 23 – 24, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. CT | 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET, hosted by SHARE Cancer Support. The time has come to turn insights about systemic disparities in health care into meaningful action, and this conference has been created to do just that. On Day 1, attendees will have the opportunity to address specific issues by race and ethnicity through an open forum discussion ( +with each represented group). The Black/African American, LatinX and Asian American/Pacific Islander sessions will be followed by Fair SHARE table discussions, led by trained facilitators to envision action ideas.
Day 2 focuses on case studies that have already shifted the paradigm of health disparities; concrete examples that show how change CAN be made by a small group of individuals taking action.
Attendees will identify high priority Fair SHARE workstreams for engagement and collaboration going forward. Your perspective is important to drive this crucial change. The conference is free for SGO members.
