Gynecologic Oncology Reports: Call for Editorial Fellows

News Article
Apr 3, 2025

Gynecologic Oncology Reports invites applications for Editorial Fellow positions. The fellowship begins August 1, 2025 and will be for a one-year term.

This fellowship is designed to introduce early career physicians focused on gynecologic oncology to the peer review, editing, production and post-publication activities of the journal.

The fellows will work closely with the journal’s Editor-in-Chief or one of the journal’s Deputy Editors to develop editorial skills. Each fellow will manage approximately 1-2 reviews per month and will receive feedback from the editorial team for their reviews. Additionally, each fellow will undertake an individual project related to publishing the journal based on their interests and strengths and with the mentorship of the editors of the journal.

Successful candidates will be expected to participate in monthly calls with their mentor to track goals and will actively participate in larger editorial leadership and Editorial Board Member meetings. They will also be asked to engage with the journal’s social media accounts.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be an early career Society of Gynecologic Oncology member, up to seven years out from completion of fellowship training. Applicants can be gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, or medical oncologists who have a focus on gynecologic cancer treatment.

How to Apply:

Applications should include a current curriculum vitae and an interest statement that details the rationale for application, ability to commit the time to active participation, and potential goals as a Gynecologic Oncology Reports editorial fellow. Application materials should be sent to the publisher Claudia Wilmes. The application deadline is June 1, 2025.
